The world moves too fast to not anticipate changes and the sad reality is that despite building better cars they haven&amp;#39;t met consumer wants &amp;amp; needs. Almost everything they do is reactive vs. competition instead of being proactive and paving the way through innovation that they did years ago.&lt;BR/&gt;They&amp;#39;ve also gotten used to freebies from governments concerned with jobs and instead of using that money wisely they&amp;#39;ve continued to sputter. I think GM &amp;amp; Ford exist 5 years from now, but not after a painful restructuring behind the protective curtain of chapter 11.</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/3584696203336871201/7387071438007890597/comments/default/4183063669799582157'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/3584696203336871201/7387071438007890597/comments/default/4183063669799582157'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.dividendgrowthinvestor.com/2008/11/future-for-us-auto-stocks.html?showComment=1226415240000#c4183063669799582157' title=''/><author><name>Nurseb911</name><uri>http://www.nurseb911.com/</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://www.dividendgrowthinvestor.com/2008/11/future-for-us-auto-stocks.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3584696203336871201.post-7387071438007890597' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/3584696203336871201/posts/default/7387071438007890597' type='text/html'/></entry></feed>
